A bad offense, a bad defense, bad weather, a barely tested quarterback. That's what we can expect in Sunday's game between the Denver Broncos and the San Francisco 49ers. Here are some players to think about for fantasy football
Start
Vernon Davis, TE, San Francisco 49ers: Davis is listed as questionable, but he seems set to play on Sunday. Davis leads the Niners with 422 receptions yards and four touchdowns. Troy Smith is scheduled to start so he will likely want to stick with his best receiving option the entire game. He may not produce as usual due to Smith and the weather, but that's no reason to sit him.
Start For Now, Check Back Sunday
Frank Gore, RB, Niners & Knowshon Moreno, RB, Broncos: It is expected to rain on Sunday in London, which could lead to a heavy ground game for both teams. Gore and Moreno will be the feature back for the team, but the former may lose carries to the rotation coach Mike Singletary wants to use and the latter has that hamstring to worry about (especially in rainy conditions).
Toss Up
Kyle Orton, QB, Broncos: This is a tough one. Orton's performance have dropped off the last two weeks and, though it is not yet November, Orton's November-December performance pales in comparison to his September-October numbers. His decline this season may have started a couple of weeks earlier than expected. But if Knowshon Moreno and the other backs fail to show up, Orton will need to air out the ball.
Avoid
Eddie Royal, WR, Broncos: Though Royal practiced on Friday, owners should probably sit him this week. Bad weather and a groin that is not fully healed could lead Kyle Orton to throw to other targets, more likely Brandon Lloyd.
