Fueled by a 17-2 run over the last five minutes of the first half, the Colorado State Rams cruised to an 80-55 victory over the Adams State Grizzlies on Saturday night in Fort Collins. The win was the 20th consecutive victory for the Rams at home, a streak that extends back to Nov. 19, 2010. It also marks the second five-win streak of the season for Colorado State.
The Rams (11-2) were led by 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists from Dorian Green. Center Colton Iverson also scored 17, while Wes Eikmeier and Greg Smith each had 11 points for the Rams. Colorado State dominated the glass, with Iverson's seven rebounds contributing to a 48-34 rebounding margin.
Adams State got 17 points from guard John Jackson, and Kaimyn Pruitt and Tyler McDaniels each had nine. The Grizzlies shot just 29.0 percent from the field and recorded just six assists.
The Rams next host Texas-El Paso (6-5) on Wednesday evening.
