The Colorado St. Rams are looking to win their fifth straight game on Saturday when they take on a formidable Division II opponent, the Adams St. Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and are off to a 7-0 start this season. Colorado St. will be the only Division I team that Adams St. faces the rest of the season, but they did play Northern Arizona in an exhibition game. The Grizzlies hung tough, but fell, 86-78.
Adams St. is led by senior guard James Lake, who averages 16.7 points per game. Senior center Kaimyn Pruitt is a force down low, averaging a double-double with 12.6 points and 14.0 rebounds. Junior forward Norvell Arnold is the only other Grizzlies player to average scoring in double figures, at 14 points per game.
Coloardo State is off to a strong start this season, as the team currently owns a 10-2 record. The Rams have won their last four games, including a 88-52 victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies to win the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic.
