The Colorado State Rams defeated the North Florida Ospreys, 83-55, on Monday night to remain undefeated at Moby Arena this season.
After leading 39-32 at halftime, Pierce Hornung led the Rams in a second-half burst to put the game away. Hornung scored nine points in the first 8:30 of the second half, and with a pair of free throws capped a 21-7 Colorado State run. The Rams took a 60-39 lead and coasted to victory.
Greg Smith led the Rams' balanced attack with 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists to help Colorado State to a 7-2 record. The Rams shot 51 percent from the floor, including a blistering 7-of-11 from the three-point line, and assisted on 22 of their 31 made field goals.
Dorian Green and Hornung both added 13 points, while Colton Iverson pitched in 10 for Colorado State. Travis Wallace led North Florida with 12 points and three assists.
Colorado State returns to action quickly, hosting the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners on Wednesday.
