The Colorado State Rams improved to 5-0 on Monday night with an 85-69 win over Northern Colorado.
Dorian Green had 19 points and seven assists while Colton Iverson put up 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for Colorado State, which made 21 of its 23 free throw attempts in the win, including its first 14 attempts from the charity stripe. After going into halftime with a six-point lead, the Rams held the Bears (1-3) to just 37 percent shooting in the second half.
Also in double figures for Colorado State were Wes Eikmeier with 17 points, Greg Smith with 14 points (to go along with eight rebounds) and Jon Octeus with 10 points. For the Bears, Tevin Svihovec scored 14 points while Tate Unruh and Derrick Barden scored 13 points apiece.
The Rams look for a 6-0 start on Saturday against the Evansville Aces before next Wednesday's game against the Colorado Buffaloes.
