Colorado State, you just won the 2012 Rocky Mountain Showdown, what are you going to do now? Play the defending FCS champion North Dakota State Bison on Saturday. The Rams (1-0) return from Denver to host their first home game of the season in a game that certainly won't be overlooked.
The Bison (1-0) are currently ranked No. 1 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 2 in the FCS TSN Top 25 Poll after picking up a 52-0 victory over Robert Morris. Quarterback Brock Jensen threw three touchdown passes while the ground game punched the ball into the end zone four times.
Colorado State, meanwhile, might be a bit shorthanded on Saturday with running back Chris Nwoke questionable for the game due to an ankle injury. The 1,000-yard rusher in 2011 picked up just 47 yards against the Colorado Buffaloes before Donnell Alexander took his spot on the field.
But if linebacker Cory James plays anything like he did last week -- he had three sacks -- the Rams should be on the way to a win.
Game time/date: 5:00 p.m. MT, Saturday, Sept. 8
Location: Hughes Stadium, Fort Collins, Colo.
