Colorado State continues to trail Utah State, 24-6, after three quarters on Saturday night.
The Rams managed to pull to within 17-6 in the third quarter after being shut out in the first half, only to allow a Utah State touchdown in the final minute of the quarter. Jared Roberts hit field goals of 28 and 31 yards to open the third quarter, but a Kerwynn Williams 58-yard touchdown rush extended Utah State lead to 24-6.
Colorado State has just 177 yards of offense through three quarters, with quarterback Garrett Grayson 10-of-20 for 74 yards in the game so far. Tommey Morris has 76 yards on eight carries, but the Rams have average just 4.0 yards per carry and will likely need to find some chemistry through the air if there are any hopes of getting back into the game.
Utah State quarterback Chuckie Keeton is 23-of-29 for 168 yards and a touchdown, while running back Kerwynn Williams has 202 yards rushing on 20 carries.
