Colorado State trails San Jose State 17-13 at halftime in what has been a fairly even-matched game so far on Saturday night.
San Jose State took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a David Fales touchdown pass to Jabari Carr on the open possession of the game, following that up with a Tyler Ervin 10 yard rushing touchdown on the very next possession.
The Rams would rebound, however, with two unanswered touchdowns in the second quarter that would have tied the game if not for a failed two-point conversion.
Quarterback Garrett Grayson is 13-of-22 for 173 yards, with one touchdown and one interception through two quarters. Grayson is also leading the Rams in rushing, with 37 yards on five carries so far.
