Colorado State Vs. San Diego State Halftime Score: Rams Hold 1-Point Lead After 20 Minutes

The No. 4 Colorado St. Rams are playing the No. 1 San Diego St. Aztecs tough on Friday night in the semifinals of the 2012 Mountain West tournament -- so tough that the Rams actually hold a halftime lead, 39-38. A late 8-0 run propelled the Rams to a strong finish.

With a less than five minutes left on the clock, the Rams were losing, 32-27, after a Jamaal Franklin three-pointer. Colorado State's Will Bell started the ensuing 8-0 run by sinking two free throws. But it was the back-to-back threes by Wes Eikmeier and Jesse Carr that put the Rams in the 35-32 lead. With roughly three minute left in the half, Eikmeier and Jesse made a couple of shots to reach 39 points. The Aztecs' James Rahon, however, made two jumpers over the final two minutes to bring San Diego State's score to 39 points.

The Rams are living by the three so far with 18 of its 38 points coming from beyond the arc. Carr leads the team with 10 points while Dwight Smith and Dorian Green each have put in eight points. For San Diego State, Franklin and Rahon each have 10 points.
