2012 Mountain West Tournament: Bracket Features Air Force Vs. New Mexico On Thursday

The Air Force Falcons have had a rough go of it in the second half of the 2011-2012 season, but the nice thing about conference tournament season is that it offers a blank slate to every team, regardless of regular season performance. As such, the Falcons will have one last chance to make this season a memorable one when they tip-off against New Mexico at 7:00 p.m. tonight.

Air Force ended the season firing its coach and losing 11 of its final 13 games. A matchup against New Mexico certainly won't be easy. The Lobos are seeded second in the Mountain West Tournament and spent much of this season ranked in the AP Top 25. New Mexico fell out of the rankings after dropping consecutive games to Colorado St. and TCU, but the Lobos rebounded with wins against these Air Force Falcons and Boise St. to round out the regular season.

The two teams met on Feb. 29 with New Mexico winning in a route 86-56. The Lobos also defeated Air Force on Jan. 31 81-42.
