Just when Jim McElwain appeared to have a full coaching staff in position for the 2012 season, it turns out that there will be one more move to be made. Tim Duffie, a secondary coach, recruiting coordinator and a holdover from Steve Fairchild's staff, has left for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, according to the Reporter-Herald.
While McElwain will take his time to hire a replacement, this could potentially hurt the team in its efforts to recruit in the state of Texas. Plenty of emphasis is being put on in-state recruiting in Colorado, but Texas is one of the nation's top recruiting grounds and an early slowdown there could hurt the Rams there for the rest of the year.
The Rams begin spring practice on March 21 and will have the Spring Game a month later on April 21.
