The New Mexico Lobos took home the 2012 Mountain West Conference Tournament championship on Saturday with a 68-59 win over San Diego State; the win capped an impressive weekend for the Lobos, who also had to go through home-standing UNLV to take the title.

New Mexico built an 11-point halftime lead on a first half that saw the team play well at both ends of the floor. San Diego State managed to get its offense in gear in the second half, but the Aztecs couldn't get enough stops to turn the tide.
Tony Snell and Kendall Williams led New Mexico with 14 points apiece, while SDSU got 25 points from Chase Tapley.
