Mountain West Standings 2012: Colorado State Tied For 4th With TCU

The Colorado St. Rams picked up a huge victory over the No. 17 UNLV Rebels on Wednesday night, outscoring Rebels, 40-18, in the second half for the 66-59 win. The win moved the Rams into a tie for fourth place with the TCU Horned Frogs in the Mountain West. TCU lost to the Wyoming Cowboys on Tuesday, falling to 7-6 in conference play, while Colorado State improved to 7-6 with the Wednesday victory.

With just one game remaining, the Rams are two games out of first place, currently occupied by the 9-4 New Mexico Lobos and the San Diego St. Aztecs. UNLV occupies third place with an 8-5 conference record. The Wyoming Cowboys are 6-7 and will play UNLV on Saturday. Depending on how things play out this weekend, there could be several ties to be settled for the conference tournament.

Here is the Saturday schedule for the Mountain West:

Colorado State vs. Air Force, 2:00 p.m.
San Diego State vs. TCU, 5:00 p.m.
