If the NCAA Tournament started today, it looks like the Colorado Buffaloes would be in. As for the Colorado State Rams? It's still too close to call.
The Buffaloes and Rams each face a pivotal week with just four regular season games remaining on the schedule for both teams. Colorado (18-8 overall) has been playing well lately, winning four of its last five contests. The Rams -- losers of two of their last three -- haven't been so fortunate. Colorado State (16-9) needs a victory in the most desperate way on Tuesday against No. 21 New Mexico.
If the Rams can reach the post-season, they will certainly have earned it as the schedule doesn't get any easier. Colorado State still has to play No. 25 San Diego State on Saturday and No. 20 UNLV on February 29 before the conference tournament.
