Although that RPI rating would make most major-conference teams an NCAA tournament lock, the bracket prognosticators are not yet sold on Colorado State. In the latest bracket projection from SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean, Colorado State is one of the last four teams left out of the tournament.
ESPN's Joe Lunardi projects the Rams as one of the last eight teams left out.
Fortuantely for the Rams, they have a chance to really help themselves in the near future with home games against New Mexico and UNLV. Both would count as quality, top-50 RPI victories for CSU.
