After an impressive performance in its non-conference schedule, Colorado St. begins the grind of Mountain West play when it hosts TCU in the opening game of conference play for both teams.
The Rams enter this game having won six straight, including a key win over Denver University just three days ago. Colorado St. hasn't lost in over a month, with the last defeat coming on December 7 at Duke. CSU is led on the offensive end by junior forward Wes Eikmeier. After averaging just 9.2 ppg last season, Eikmeier has become the focal point of the offense, averaging a team-high 17.2 ppg. Junior guard Dorian Green has been impressive in the backcourt, averaging 13.5 ppg and 2.5 apg.
TCU heads into this matchup on a two-game winning streak. The Horned Frogs had a very inconsistent non-conference schedule, which included an impressive win over Virginia and frustrating defeats against Tulsa and Norfolk St.
