Colorado State's Chris Nwoke Named Mountain West Offensive Player Of The Week

The Colorado State Rams made it a sweep in this week's Mountain West players of the week awards. It, however, wasn't a clean sweep since the offensive player of the week award was split between two players.

Colorado State running back Chris Nwoke was named co-offensive player of the week with New Mexico wide receiver Deon Long. Nwoke scored the game-tying and the overtime game-winning touchdown for the Rams in their 35-34 double overtime victory against Utah State. Long, who saw head coach Mike Locksley fired on Sunday, had 378 total yards of offense, including 209 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also had a 98-yard kickoff return to start the game.

Also receiving player of the week honors was Colorado State's Shaquil Barrett and Tanner Hedstrom. The former recorded 14 tackles, a fumble recovery for a touchdown and a sack. Hedstrom, the long snapper, recovered two failed punt attempts, including one that set up Nwoke's game-tying touchdown.
