NCAA Bracketology: Colorado Joins Colorado State On The Outside

Selection Sunday is now only 10 days away and both the Colorado Buffaloes and Colorado St. Rams have been either in or out of the various bracket projections over the past few months. The Buffaloes have been in the most recent bracket projections after their upset of the Texas Longhorns, but now the Buffs are in a position where they most likely must win the Big 12 tournament to get into the NCAA tournament since they lost to the lowly Iowa St. Cyclones.

Last night on ESPN's college basketball scoreboard show, their resident bracketologist Joe Lunardi was on the air during a gimmick segment where they were popping teams bubble for their tournament chances and Colorado was one of the teams that was popped.

Colorado hosts the Nebraska Cornhuskers to finish off the season, and they must win that game to possibly get back into the bubble picture.

Colorado State was able to avoid the upset, as they took care of business against the Utah Utes at home last night to keep their tournament chances alive. That win does help keep the Rams in line for an at-large berth, but they are still one of the first four teams out of the field of 68. The Rams can make a strong case to be considered for an at-large berth if they can defeat the San Diego St. Aztecs on the road in the Rams season finale this Saturday.
