With Wyoming driving down the field to potentially extend the lead late in the first half, the Rams forced a fumble from QB Brett Smith, which the defense recovered to prevent any points being added to the scoreboard. Smith has been excellent aside from the fumble, throwing for 130 yards and a TD in the opening half.
