The Colorado State Rams will be visiting the UTEP Miners on Wednesday night at the annual Sun Bowl Invitational that's held during the holiday season. The Rams are hoping to win for the third time in a row since getting crushed, 87-64, by then-No. 5 Duke on Dec. 7.
UTEP has been playing better basketball of late, though, so the Rams will be challenged away from home. After beginning the season with a 2-5 record, the Miners have won four of their past five games to get back to .500 on the season. They're presumably hoping to sustain that momentum at home, where they're 6-3 this season.
The home court advantage should be important for UTEP, as Colorado State has struggled on the road this season. The Rams are 6-1 at home this season but have won just one of their four road games thus far.
