(Sports Network) — Andy Ogide's double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds lifted the Colorado State Rams to a 78-67 victory over the Drake Bulldogs in a non-conference tussle at Moby Arena.
Andre McFarland scored 16 points in the win for Colorado State (3-1), while Wes Eikmeier added 11.
Drake (2-4) was led by Ryan Wedel's 16 points in the loss, while Seth VanDeest and Rayvonte Rice contributed double-digit performances with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Colorado State took a 40-34 advantage into the intermission after connecting on 51.7 percent of its shots from the floor in the opening half, including five three-pointers.
The Rams secured the win after holding Drake to a lackluster 34.4 percent shooting from the floor in the second stanza.
Colorado State overpowered the Bulldogs in the trenches, outrebounding Drake by a 39-29 margin on the night.
