Utah Uses An Onside Kick To Extend Their Lead

Pete Thomas drove the Rams down the field against Utah and was able to set up a field goal to cut into Utah’s 7-3 lead. The drive mixed the passing game with the running game for the score.

Then the Utes being the Utes moved the ball down the field and scored a touchdown on a Jordan Wynn pass to running back Matt Asiata.

Utah’s coach Whittingham brought out a bag of tricks and did an onside kick, which was recovered by Ute kicker Joe Phillips. That onside recovery allowed the Utes to kick a field goal to go up 17-3.
