TCU Pulling Away With A Big Third Quarter

Colorado State was actually causing TCU to sweat for just over two quarters of football, but then TCU remembered that they were the fifth ranked team in the country and scored 14 third quarter points to extend their lead 20-0 to head into the fourth quarter.

TCU used the third quarter to rush the ball against the Ram defense on two long yardage drives.  They had drives of five plays for 80 yards and then a three play drive of only 60 yards.  Colorado State had a chance to close the gap when TCU had quarterback Andy Dalton punt the ball out of the shotgun formation with TCU up only 13-0, but the Rams went three and out which lead to TCU scoring possibly the touchdown that out the game out of reach.
