Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson will not return to the Rams' game against Air Force, reports Kelly Lyell of the Fort Collins Coloradoan. Grayson was injured early in the first quarter when he was crushed on an option run, going down hard on his shoulder and taking a minute to get to his feet.
Grayson was 2-for-2 before being injured. Backup quarterback M.J. McPeek has stepped in and is 11-for-15, throwing for 151 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Grayson, a sophomore, had a 57.5 percent completion rate for this season entering the game, throwing for 865 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions through the first three games.
The Rams trail Air Force at the half, 35-14. The Falcons have been pounding the ball at the line and have picked up 315 yards rushing in the first half. Air Force quarterback Connor Dietz is 2-for-5 for 57 yards, but both completions have gone for touchdowns.
