Linebacker Shaquil Barrett is expected to play on Saturday for the Colorado State Rams when they travel to Boise to take on the Boise State Broncos. Barrett suffered a "lower body injury" last Saturday in the Rams' win over UNLV. CSU did not disclose any additional details regarding his injury.
Unfortunately for the Rams, Barrett isn't the only player dealing with injuries this week. Wideout Thomas Coffman and linebacker Davis Burl are both questionable, and they have already lost linebacker James Skelton for the season with a fractured ankle. Max Morgan will see more time as a result of Skelton's injury and could be on the field even more if Barrett can't go. Barrett was complimentary of the team's depth at the position:
"It's good that we have a lot of linebackers that can go out there and play," Barrett said.
Barrett has 59 tackles 5½ tackles for a loss, 3½ sacks and an interception through 10 games this season.
Kickoff for Colorado State vs. Boise State is set for 12:30 p.m. MT.
