Diamondbacks Vs. Rockies: Jeff Francis Out To End Colorado's Bleeding

The Colorado Rockies are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak Sunday when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field. The Diamondbacks have taken the first two games of this four-game series, coming from two runs down to win 8-7 Saturday.

The Rockies hand the ball to Jeff Francis. The veteran lefty enters today's contest with a 5-6 record and 5.58 ERA. Francis has had a September to forget, going 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA in four starts. On July 25, in his one start against Arizona this season, Francis got the win after giving up just two earned runs in six innings.

Arizona will counter with Ian Kennedy, who is 14-11 on the year with a 4.08 ERA. Kennedy has looked like he recaptured the form that made him a Cy Young Award contender in 2011, winning his last two starts and giving up just one run in 15 1/3 innings pitched. Kennedy has won both of his two previous starts against Colorado this year.

First pitch is set for 1:10 p.m. MT. Root Sports will handle local television coverage, with the radio broadcast available on KOA 850 AM.
