Trailing 4-0, the Colorado Rockies scored three runs in the seventh inning but couldn't get closer in a 4-3 loss to the San Diego Padres Saturday.
Andy Parrino put San Diego in the lead in the second with an RBI double. Jesus Guzman drove in the other three San Diego runs in the third on a three-run home run.
Colorado scored its runs in the seventh when Chris Nelson doubled in a run. Charlie Blackmon followed with an RBI single and D.J. LeMahieu drove in the final run with a sacrifice fly.
Casey Kelly (2-1, 5.85 ERA) picked up the win after giving up three runs (two earned) and striking out six in six innings. Drew Pomeranz (1-9, 5.06 ERA) took the loss for Colorado.
