The Colorado Rockies are pretty much playing for respect at this point in the season. The Los Angeles Dodgers however, not so much. In a tight NL West race, the Dodgers can't afford to lose too many games like they did on Monday night to the Rockies.
But Colorado wants to play spoiler and redeem themselves after coming off a pitiful 1-8 homestand, so there's nothing better than keeping Los Angeles from taking sole possession of first place had they been victorious on Monday.
Alex White will get the start on the mound for the Rockies in the second of three games they'll play at Dodger Stadium. The right-hander has a record this season of 2-6 with an ERA of 6.16.
