The Colorado Rockies opened the first of their six-game road trip against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night trying to forget their nightmarish homestand that saw them drop eight of nine games. Colorado took game one in their three game set with the Dodgers by a final score of 2-0 despite having 11 hits in the game.
Eric Young connected on three hits, Jordan Pacheco and Jonathan Herrera each had two hits with Pacheco and Carlos Gonzalez being the only batters to register RBI's.
Adam Ottavino gets credited with his third win of the season and Rafael Betancourt picked hip his 18th save. Drew Pomeranz got the start for the Rockies and pitched four strong innings giving up just three hits, no earned runs and striking out seven Dodger batters.
