Rockies Vs. Mets: Jeff Francis, Matt Harvey Duel As Colorado Looks To Take Game 3

The Colorado Rockies enter Game 3 against the New York Mets on a three-game winning streak, fresh off the return of Jhoulys Chacin to the rotation. On Tuesday night, Chacin allowed one run on four hits in six innings. That was exactly the start Chacin needed in his return and the Rockies greatly benefited from it. Will they receive something similar from Jeff Francis on Wednesday evening?

Francis (4-4, 6.07 ERA) enters this game with a rocky August performance. He's allowed at least three runs in each of his four starts and has pitched into the sixth inning in only one of them. The Rockies won the latter game, 9-6, against the Milwaukee Brewers. In his last start, Francis allowed four runs in five innings in a 6-5 loss to the Miami Marlins.

The Mets turn to rookie Matt Harvey (2-3, 3.00 ERA), the seventh overall pick in the 2010 MLB Draft. He is making his sixth career start and snapped a three-game losing streak with a win in his last start. He allowed one run and struck out eight in 7.2 innings against the Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ball Park. This start will be just his second at Citi Field.

Game time is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. MT. ROOT Sports and 850 KOA will have live coverage.
