2012 Home Run Derby: Carlos Gonzalez Hits 4 Home Runs In 1st Round

Carlos Gonzalez hit four home runs in the first round of the 2012 Home Run Derby on Monday night; his longest homer traveled 433 feet, according to ESPN. Gonzalez will need to finish in the top four in order to advance to the second round of the derby.

Two other players have hit in the first round so far and they're both ahead of Gonzalez: Carlos Beltran hit seven home runs and Jose Bautista hit 11.

Gonzalez, who was making his HR Derby debut, has hit 17 home runs for the Rockies in 2012.
