The U.S. team defeated the World team 17-5 in Sunday's MLB All-Star Futures Game, which showcases some of the top prospects in baseball. The Colorado Rockies were represented by infielder Nolan Arenado, who went 1-3 at the plate and scored a run for the U.S.

The U.S. team collected a total of 17 hits on the day, and while the World team got out to a 4-0 lead, the U.S. was quick to answer. The U.S. evened the score with a four-run third inning, took the lead with two runs in the fourth, and then broke the game wide open with nine runs in the sixth.
Arenado, who plays for the double-A Tulsa Drillers, is hitting .284/.334/.405 in 2012.
