The Colorado Rockies (31-51) have lost five of their last six games, but they hope to reach the All-Star Break on high note, opening a series against the Washington Nationals (44-39) on Friday.
1B Todd Helton, struggling with a sore hip, will be in the dugout once again. 1B Tyler Colvin will take over at the first bag for him, sliding RF Michael Cuddyer to right. Colvin will hit No. 5 for the second-straight game. The 26-year-old outfielder has an impressive .301/.330/.608/ slash with 11 home runs through his first 188 PA this year.
