Rockies Vs. Cardinals Final Score: Colorado Loses 6-2

Looking to split the series, the Colorado Rockies lost 6-2 to the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night as the offense once again struggled. The Rockies scored a total of nine runs over the four-game series in St. Louis, during which they won just one game.

Rockies starter Christian Friedrich struggled en route to another loss, allowing six runs over 4.1 innings despite giving up just five hits. Cardinals starter Lance Lynn was dominant in comparison, shutting the Cardinals out over six innings while striking out seven.

Tyler Colvin continued to flash his power bat for the Rockies, hitting his 11th home run of the year in the eighth inning, but Colorado couldn't take advantage of its nine hits. Carlos Beltran led the Cardinals on offense with two hits and two RBI.
