Rockies Vs. Cardinals Final Score: Colorado Loses Game No. 50 In 4-1 Loss To St. Louis

The Colorado Rockies finished with 10 hits, but weren't able to muster up enough run support for starter Jeremy Guthrie during a 4-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday. The Rockies fall to 31-50 in defeat, while St. Louis moves to 43-39.

Guthrie falls to 3-8 as the hard luck loser, allowing just six hits and two earned runs over six innings. The pitcher also supplied the lone Colorado run, a fifth inning single to right to score shortstop Jonathan Herrera.

St. Louis was led by left fielder Matt Holliday, who finished 3-for-4 with an RBI double to get scoring started in the first inning. David Freese added the final blow for the Cards with an eighth inning single to score Holliday and teammate Carlos Beltran.
