Rockies Vs. Cardinals: Colorado Turns To Jeff Francis On Tuesday Night

After winning back-to-back games last week for the first time in nearly a month, the Colorado Rockies find themselves in the midst of a three-game losing streak. The team's most recent loss was a 9-3 decision to the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday night, and the Rockies are back for more at Busch Stadium on Tuesday night.

Jeff Francis (1-1, 5.47 ERA) threw six shutout innings in his last start. That happened to be the Rockies' last win, a 10-2 victory over the San Diego Padres. He was extended to 82 pitches in that game, so we'll wait to see if he will go over the 75-pitch count again.

Joe Kelly (1-0, 3.38 ERA) has thrown six innings in each of his last two starts, but the team has gone just 1-1 over that time. While he has a 117 ERA+, Kelly has allowed 28 hits in 21.1 innings pitched and averages just 4.6 strikeouts per nine innings.

Game time/date: 6:15 p.m. MT, Tuesday, July 3

Location: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO

TV/Radio: ROOT Sports/850 KOA
