The Colorado Rockies have struggled mightily since the All-Star break, and a weekend series against the Cincinnati Reds likely won't offer much relief. The Reds are leading the NL Central at the moment, and boast the second best run differential in the National League. Colorado, meanwhile, is just trying to avoid finishing with the worst record in baseball. The Rockies have a higher winning percentage than the Houston Astros, and exactly no one else.
The Rockies have announced the pitching rotation for the upcoming series, and the team is only throwing lefties. On Friday, Drew Pomeranz is scheduled to go. Colorado's 25-year old lefty Christian Friedrich will start on Saturday. Sunday will belong to Jonathan Sanchez, the 29-year old who is 1-7 this season with a 8.01 ERA and 2.08 WHIP.
