Rockies Vs. Padres Score Update: Teams Tied Through Six Innings

In the rubber-match between the two teams in the cellar of the NL West Division, the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres are tied heading into the 7th inning. The Padres won the opener in the series, while the Rockies followed that up with an 8-6 win in 12 innings.

Both pitchers have been strong throughout the game, with each allowing only two earned runs. Christian Friedrich allowed only three hits and struck out two batters in five innings for the Rockies, while Ross Ohlendorf has struck out six batters through six innings.

At the plate, the Rockies scored in both the first and second innings. Marco Scutaro drove in the first run of the game in the opening inning. DJ LeMahieu then drove in Josh Rutledge on a double in the second inning.
