2012 Rockies Prospects: 3B Nolan Arenado Drops From Top 50 Rankings

ESPN's Keith Law has released his latest Top 50 Prospects rankings and notable for Colorado Rockies fans: 3B Nolan Arenado is not on it. More accurately, he falls in the "just missed" category.

Arenado earned a No. 23 ranking from Law as recently as March and a No. 42 ranking from Baseball America in February, but his poor performance through 84 minor league games has resulted in a massive loss in expectation.

The 21-year-old infielder was expected to possess 20 to 25 home run power, but has only hit 7 homers through 350 PA in Double-A. He currently owns a near-league-average .278/.332/.399 slash line.
