The big story heading into Saturday's matchup between the Los Angeles Angels and the Colorado Rockies was the return of Jeff Francis to Coors Field. Francis, who played a key role in leading the Rockies to the World Series in 2007 hadn't pitched for Colorado since the 2010 season.
Unfortunately, Francis struggled in his return to the mound for Colorado, giving up eight earned runs and 10 hits in just 3.1 innings, as the Rockies fell 11-5. Dan Haren earned the win for the Angels despite not having his best stuff, allowing 10 hits and four earned runs in just 5.1 innings.
The Rockies did most of their offensive damage with home runs, as four different guys went deep. Carlos Gonzalez hit his 15th home run of the season. Albert Pujols drove in four runs to help lead the Angels to the road win.
