Angels Vs. Rockies Final Score: C.J. Wilson, Torii Hunter Dominate Colorado For 7-2 Victory

The Colorado Rockies had nothing going for them on Friday evening against the Los Angeles Angels, losing in a 7-2 decision. Offensively, the Angels' Torii Hunter couldn't be stopped, going 3-for-5 with six RBI. On the mound, C.J. Wilson (7-4, 2.39 ERA) pitched eight innings of one-run ball while striking out nine.

Rockies starter Alex White (2-4, 5.66 ERA) had trouble with the long ball in the game, allowing two two-run home runs to Hunter, which came in the third and fifth innings. White allowed four runs in six innings and struck out six. The Angels didn't strike again until the ninth inning when Hunter singled in two runs off Esmil Rogers. Albert Pujols, playing third base, immediately followed with an RBI double.

Mike Trout, prospect extraordinaire, went 3-for-4 with three runs scored for the Angels.

Marco Scutaro drove in the first Rockies run when he doubled home Eric Young Jr. in the sixth inning. Jordan Pacheco had a ninth-inning RBI triple to score the second run.

The Rockies (24-33, 15-16 home) return to the diamond on Saturday afternoon with Jeff Francis as the expected Saturday. The official announcement has not yet been made.
