2012 MLB Draft: Keith Law Slots Rockies' David Dahl Behind Only To Nolan Arenado

The Colorado Rockies still need to sign the No. 10 overall choice in the 2012 MLB Draft, Alabama prep outfielder David Dahl, but ESPN Insider Keith Law already has him as a highly ranked prospect in the team's system. Law believes Dahl is the team's No. 2 overall prospect:

I'd slot Dahl in between their top prospect, Nolan Arenado, and shortstop prospect Trevor Story.

Arenado is considered the future third baseman of the future of the Rockies. He is currently playing for the Double-A Tulsa Drillers and is expected to join the big league club later this season. Story was last year's supplemental first round choice and is currently playing for the Single-A Asheville Tourists.

Dahl instantly is the team's top outfield prospect, as Charlie Blackmon has failed to take off due to injury and the same for Tim Wheeler. Also, neither of those two might be more than a fourth outfielder for the club. Dahl has a chance to be an above-average everyday player.
