The Colorado Rockies drafted Justin Solomon in the 35th round of the 2012 MLB Draft, but he has a story unlike any other. The Piedra Vista High School product has battled cancer and is in remission. While he can't play baseball any longer and is dealing with complications from the cancer, Solomon can now say that he was drafted a Major League team.
↵Solomon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July 2011. The Rockies' scout for the region, Chris Forbes, pushed hard for this selection.
↵Congrats to Solomon and enjoy the visit to Coors Field!
