The Colorado Rockies struck out 16 times on Tuesday night as they fell to the Arizona Diamonds 10-0 at Chase Field. Arizona starter Ian Kennedy improved his record to 5-5 by striking out 12 Colorado batters over just six innings to key the win. The Diamondbacks improve to 26-30 with the win, the Rockies fall to 24-31.
Arizona scored two in the second, two in the third, three in the fourth and three in the eighth. The Diamondbacks' offense produced 17 hits in the win. Aaron Hill, Jason Kubel and Gerardo Parra all homered for the D-Backs.
Rockies starter Jeremy Guthrie did not pitch well. The right-hander allowed seven earned runs and 11 hits over 3.1 innings.
Parra ended the night 4-for-5 with three runs and an RBI for the Diamondbacks.
