2012 MLB Draft Order: Rockies Pick At Nos. 10 And 46 On Day 1

The 2012 MLB Draft takes place on Monday night and the Colorado Rockies will have two picks on Day 1 of the event. The Rockies have their regular No. 10 overall pick after finishing the 2011 season with a 73-89 record. The second pick comes at No. 46 in the supplemental Compensation A round, which is for picks given out for the loss of free agents. The Rockies saw second baseman Mark Ellis sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers during the offseason.

The draft order doesn't add many draft picks on Day 2, but the Rockies will be one of three teams gaining a Compensation B pick. That comes after the third round at pick No. 128 for not signing 2011 third-round draft pick C Peter O'Brien. O'Brien is draft eligible once again as a senior.
