The San Diego Padres called up catcher Yasmani Grandal to replace the struggling Nick Hundley on the roster and he's batting fifth for the team on Saturday night. Grandal was up with the team earlier in June, but he went hitless in one at-bat.
For Triple-A Tucson, Grandal has hit .335/.443/.521 with 18 doubles and six home runs in 56 games. He should get an extended look in the majors this time around. There's perhaps no better place than Coors Field for him to start out at this time around.
