Athletics Vs. Rockies Final Score: Oakland Completes Sweep With 8-2 Victory

Jarrod Parker threw seven shoutout innings, Josh Reddick finished a triple short of the cycle, and the Oakland A's completed a three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies with an 8-2 win on Thursday afternoon. The Rockies have now lost eight games in a row.

The A's got to work early against Rockies starter Alex White, scoring two runs in the second and two in the third. White gave up seven hits and lasted just four innings.

With Parker in control, Oakland cruised the rest of the way and took an 8-0 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning.

Chris Nelson was the only Colorado player to record more than one hit on the day.
