The Colorado Rockies have agreed to sign third round pick Tom Murphy, a catcher out of Buffalo, as Jim Callis of Baseball America reports. Murphy receives a $454,000 signing bonus, the full recommended value for where he was selected.

Murphy was taken with the No. 105 overall pick in the draft by Colorado, a compensation pick that the team received as a result of failing to sign 2011 third round pick Peter O'Brien. He was the Rockies' fourth pick of the day after David Dahl, Max White and Eddie Butler.
