Colorado Rockies Trade RHP Esmil Rogers To Cleveland Indians For Cash Considerations

The Colorado Rockies designated struggling relief pitcher Esmil Rogers for assignment over the weekend, and on Tuesday they traded him to the Cleveland Indians for cash considerations.

Rogers appeared in 23 games for the Rockies this season, posting a 8.06 ERA in 25-2/3 innings of work. He struck out 29 and walked 18.

He had similar struggles during the 2011 season, though he was primarily a starter during that season.

For his career, Rogers has a 6.77 ERA in 184-2/3 innings. He appeared in 70 games and made 22 starts for Colorado.
