Rockies Vs. Angels Score Update: Rockies Drop 5th Straight

The disappointing season for the Colorado Rockies continued this weekend at Coors Field, as the Rockies dropped their fifth straight game with a 10-8 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.

Starting pitching was once again an issue for the Rockies, with Christian Friedrich the latest starter to struggle. Friedrich only made it through four innings, allowing 10 hits and eight earned runs. The loss dropped Friedrich's record to 4-2 and increased his ERA to 5.85.

Colorado was able to get to Los Angeles starter Ervin Santana early, scoring six runs in the first two innings. However, Santana settled down afterwards and ultimately pitched 5.2 innings to earn the victory.

At the plate, Carlos Gonzalez continued his hot stretch, hitting his 16th home run of the season. Tyler Colvin drove in three runs and hit his sixth home run of the season.
